Agricultural/Equine Accounts Trainee Opportunity
Butler & Co Chartered Accountants are looking to recruit an Accounts Trainee to provide support to our busy practice located in a beautiful rural setting close to Alresford.

The successful candidate requires good IT, numeracy and communication skills together with the ability to work as part of a team. An understanding of the farming and/or equine industries would be highly advantageous. There will be a requirement to undertake qualifications through the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) which will be paid for by the firm together with paid study leave. Previous office or accountancy experience is not necessary; however, candidates must be enthusiastic and keen to learn.
The role includes assisting with the preparation of sole trade, partnership and limited company accounts and tax computations, preparation of VAT Returns and assisting with bookkeeping and payroll using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Quickbooks and IRIS. Full on-the-job training will be provided in addition to AAT qualifications. Butler & Co has clients both local and nationwide across many sectors including farming and rural businesses, equine, professional practices, charities and landed estates.

This role is full-time Monday to Friday and offers an excellent opportunity for career development with the possibility to complete higher qualifications in ACA or ACCA. The starting salary will be national minimum wage for age with regular salary reviews based on completion of exams and progression. Due to location, access to your own transport is essential.
